The 9 bp insertion, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) 1, 6, 9, and 10 (open box); SNP2, 4, 5, and 14 (dark gray box), and SNP11, 12, 13, and 15 (gray box) are in linkage disequilibrium. An underline indicates a minor allele in the normal Japanese population. +, 9 bp (AACAGGACA) is inserted; -, 9 bp is not inserted.
