Mechanisms of leptin signaling. Upon leptin binding to Ob-Rb, the Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK/STAT), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) pathways are activated.
