FGF8 induced the growth of rabbit synovial fibroblast-like cells. Rabbit synovial fibroblast-like cells were treated without (none) or with 100 ng/ml FGF8 and various concentrations of anti-FGF8 antibody (Ab) (0.1, 0.3, 1, 3 and 10 μg/ml) for 72 hours. [3H]Thymidine incorporation during the last 24-hour pulse of cultures was determined. Each column represents the mean ± standard error. Data from a single experiment are shown, but similar data were obtained in three additional experiments. ###P < 0.001 compared with the no treatment group (Student's t test), ***P < 0.001 compared with FGF8 alone (Dunnett test).
