Monoiodoacetic acid (MIA) was injected into the right knee joint of rats (vehicle). KM1334 (the anti-FGF8 antibody (Ab)) was intraperitoneally administered before the injection of MIA. As a control, sterile saline was injected into the knee instead of MIA (saline). The synovial lavage was performed with saline 3 days after the intraarticular injection of MIA into knee joints. The content of sulfated glycosaminoglycan (S-GAG) in an aliquot was measured by the 1,9-dimethylmethylene blue method.
