Microscopic analysis of synovial inflammation with innate immune cells in early untreated Behçet synovitis (BD) versus psoriatic synovitis (PsA). Whereas the global degree of synovial inflammation, reflected by the number of CD68+ macrophages, was similar in the two diseases, there were significant increases of CD15+ neutrophils in BD and of CD117+ mast cells in PsA.
