Heatmap of differentially expressed genes (n = 480) in the salivary glands of 25 individual C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2 male mice (n = 5 mice per age group) at 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 weeks of age, grouped into four clusters based on temporal expression profiles (left panel). Upregulated gene expressions are shown in red, and downregulated gene expressions are shown in green. Based on HPCluster analyses, the averaged gene expression patterns for each of the four clusters are graphically modeled as temporal plots over the five time points measured (right panels).
