Immunoblotting of Ser32-phosphorylated IκB-α (top, after immunoprecipitation), and total IκB-α (bottom) shows rapid IL-18-induced IκB-α phosphorylation and degradation in IL-18Rα⁺β⁺ fibroblast-like synoviocytes (culture 3 in Fig. 1). One of two similar independent experiments is presented. IκB-α = inhibitor of kappaB α; IL-18R(α, β) = IL-18 receptor (α, β).
