Effect of overexpression of YAP on cell proliferation. C3H10T1/2 cells were transduced with retrovirus encoding hYAP1 or hYAP1(S127A) (A, B) or hYAP2 or hYAP2(S127A) (C). Cells transduced with empty vector retrovirus and cells left non-transduced served as controls. Cells cultured at sub-confluence or confluence were maintained for 24 h in the presence or absence of serum, then cell proliferation was determined by EdU nucleoside incorporation into replicating DNA, detected using the Click-iT system.
