Western blot analysis of citrulline- and homocitrulline-containing proteins and myeloperoxidase in rheumatoid nodule protein samples (a) Ponceau S protein staining of rheumatoid nodule protein samples, (b) modified citrulline and homocitrulline staining of same samples, (c) myeloperoxidase staining. Tissue samples from rheumatoid nodule were divided into capsule and necrotic inner mass. The samples were fractionated by centrifugation to soluble and precipitate fractions.
