From: IL-1 family cytokines and soluble receptors in systemic lupus erythematosus
Levels of soluble cytokines and receptors of the IL-1 family in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) vs. normal healthy controls. IL-18, IL-18 binding protein (IL-18BP), free IL-18, IL-33, soluble IL-1 receptor 4 (sIL-1R4) and IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra) were measured in serum from 80 normal healthy subjects (NHS) and 74 patients with SLE. Data are expressed as pg/ml of serum in patients with SLE compared to controls, by means of the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test.
