Chemokine (c-c motif) ligand 17 (CCL17) is expressed in collagenase-induced osteoarthritis (CiOA) synovial macrophages and regulated by interferon regulatory factor 4 (IRF4) and granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF). a CiOA was induced in wild-type (WT), Irf4−/− and Ccl17E/E mice and the joints were histologically assessed at week 2.
