Heat map of the different miRNA expression profiles for each RA patient and HD. The heat map diagram shows the result of the two-way hierarchical clustering of miRNAs in samples from five RA patients and five HD. Each row represents one miRNA, and each column represents one sample. The miRNA clustering tree is shown on the left. The colour scale shown at the bottom illustrates the relative expression level of an miRNA across all samples: red represents an expression level above mean, and green represents an expression lower than the mean. The clustering is performed on all samples, and miRNAs displayed are the large-magnitude changes that are also statistically significant on the five out of 19 miRNAs with the highest standard deviation.
