Autophagy and apoptosis levels after in vitro treatment with etanercept in FLS isolated from patients with RA. a Western blot analysis of LC3-II levels in FLS treated with etanercept at concentration of 15 μg/ml. Where indicated, cells were starved (1% FBS) or cultured in the presence of TNFα for 4 h and etanercept was then added for a total treatment duration of 24 h. Densitometry analysis of LC3-II expression obtained from five independent experiments is reported. b Flow cytometry analysis of apoptosis after in vitro treatment with etanercept as above described.
