Protective effect of m-PGA- on MIA-induced histologic damage. Representative images of H/E-stained sections. Rat knee joints injected with MIA showed a significant expansion of the synovial membrane probably caused by proteinaceous edema fluid and fibrin with infiltrating macrophages, plasma cells, lymphocytes, and neutrophils (b) compared to control (a).
