IFN-λ1/3 production is triggered by RNA-IC in immune cells from SLE patients and healthy controls. The levels of IFN-λ1/3 in supernatants after 20 h in a monocyte-depleted peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) stimulated with RNA-IC or herpes simplex virus (HSV) or b plasmacytoid dendritic cell (pDC)-NK cell co-cultures with RNA-IC in the presence or absence of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and IFN-α2b.
