A working model for positive feedback regulation between USP15 and ERK2 playing a critical role in OA. Non-SMAD of ERK2 can promote TGF-β/SMAD2 signaling by increasing the level of USP15. Next, USP15 can interact with deubiquitinate and activate ERK2 to stimulate TGF-β/SMAD2 signaling. Finally, this positive feedback loop can inhibit OA progressions
