Flow chart of the patients enrolled in the TROPHY study. Overall, 130 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were screened and 120 patients with sustained low disease activity (Disease Activity Score-28 ≤ 3.2) with tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi) plus methotrexate (MTX) were divided into two treatment arms that either switched from TNFi to tacrolimus (TAC) or maintained the same treatment. Efficacy was evaluated in the full analysis set (FAS) and safety was evaluated in all patients who received at least one dose of TAC or TNFi (safety analysis set, SAS)
