Osteoarthritis synovial fibroblasts and rheumatoid arthritis synovial fibroblasts (OASF and RASF, respectively) were treated with anti-Fas antibody (500 ng/ml) or KCN (1 mM) for 24 h, and thapsigargin (TG 5 μM) was also treated for 60 h. Dead cells were counted by the Trypan blue method (a). Thapsigargin (0, 0.1, 0.5, 1 or 5 μM) was added to OASF and RASF for 60 h.
