Paired dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) scans from two patients with gout with hyperuricaemia throughout the study period. (A) Paired scans from a patient with 0.49 mmol/L serum urate concentration at baseline visit, and 0.57 mmol/L at year 1 visit. DECT urate volume increased from 1.65cm3 to 3.3 cm3. (B) Paired scans from a patient with a 0.55 mmol/L serum urate concentration at baseline and 0.56 mmol/L at year 1. DECT urate volume decreased from 47.47 cm3 to 33.73 cm3.
