(a) The daily glucocorticoid dose of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients was significantly correlated with the percentage of CD4+CD25-Foxp3+ T cells (r = 0.3; P = 0.02), and the absolute cell numbers of CD4+CD25-Foxp3+ T cells (r = 0.3; P = 0.02), as well as the SLEDAI score (r = 0.5; P = 0.0003). (b) Longitudinal analysis of the percentage of CD4+CD25-Foxp3+ T cells is shown in a patient with high disease activity treated with prednisone.
