PK/H4 as a probe to detect antibodies in sera. PK/H4 complexes or pDNA (20 μg/ml) were used to coat polystyrene plates; diluted sera were incubated on plates and bound antibodies detected by anti-IgG antibodies. The PK/H4 complexes (a), but not the uncomplexed pDNA (b), are able to discriminate normal healthy subjects (NHS), systemic lupus erythematosus patients (SLE), and disease controls (DC).
