Influence of the isolation procedure on the detection of B-cell and macrophage markers: representative experiments. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from healthy volunteers stained with 7-aminoactinomycin (7-AAD), CD45- fluoro-isothiocyanate (FITC) and (a, top panel) CD20- phycoerythrin (PE) or (a, lower panel) CD19-PE, (b, top panel) CD14- allophycocyanin (APC) or (b, lower panel) CD163-PE. Shown events were gated 7-AAD-negative and CD45-positive. Positivity for cell markers is shown in percentage of gated events. (a) Influence on B-cell markers. Slow rotation: 8 rpm.
