Curve (a) represents the difference between absorbance of the precipitated- protein solution before and after 24 hours incubation with uricase. The max. decrease obtained was at 283 nm. Curve (b) represents the difference between absorbance of the protein-free solution before and after 2 hours incubation with uricase. The max. decrease obtained was at 293 nm.
