Combined data for TLR9 detection of B cells obtained from 6 SLE patients and 4 healthy donors (HD), respectively, did not show a significant difference in TLR9 detection, but B cells from patients with more active SLE (SLE disease activity index (SLEDAI) ≥6) were found to express reduced TLR9 (Mann-Whitney U-test; ns: not significant; *P <0.05) (right panel).
