Genes related to fibrosis in skin were regulated by administering hep-mASCs. The skin mRNA expression levels of α-SMA, TGF-β1, and COL1α1 were significantly downregulated in the BLM-mASC group, the BLM-hep10-mASC group, and the BLM-hep100-mASC group when compared to those in the BLM-only group. The skin mRNA expression levels of TIMP-2 were significantly downregulated in the BLM-hep10-mASC and BLM-hep100-mASC groups when compared to those in the BLM-only group, but were not downregulated in the BLM-mASC group. n = 7 in each group.
