The systematic pathway illustration of rheumatoid arthritis: chronic inflammation disrupts bone remodeling, resulting in gradual bone loss. The aberrant activation of the immune system raises the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, which can increase synovial angiogenesis and leukocyte infiltration.
